Factory Introduction

1. Factory Headquarters

Address: Huangjinkou Industrial Park, Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 392,900 square meters. It is a global benchmark factory jointly established by Stellantis Group and Dongfeng Group.

Layout: The Wuhan factory serves as the main production base; the Xiangyang factory is responsible for manufacturing core components such as engines and transmissions; the Chengdu factory undertakes production of some models.

2. Manufacturing Capabilities and Categories

Product Portfolio: Produces passenger vehicles under the brands Dongfeng Peugeot, Dongfeng Citroën, and Dongfeng Fukang, covering fuel-powered vehicles (e.g., Peugeot 408) and new energy vehicles (e.g., Dongfeng Nammi 06 pure electric SUV), with an annual production capacity of 390,000 units.

Technological Upgrades: Through production line transformation, it has undertaken new energy vehicle production, realizing co-line manufacturing of fuel-powered and new energy vehicles.

3. Quality Control Capabilities and Factory Features

Technological Leadership in Processes:

The welding workshop adopts laser online inspection and AGV logistics carts, with over 5,000 cycles of monitoring on body weld quality; high-strength steel accounts for up to 80%. The painting workshop applies green pre-treatment + short-process + water-based paint technology, with fully automated robotic painting, ensuring paint color difference control at an industry-leading level.

Quality Management System:

The assembly workshop has set up five quality gates; each vehicle undergoes 20 process inspections and simulates over 300 user operations to ensure zero-defect delivery. A blue light inspection system (not explicitly mentioned but achieved through technologies such as laser inspection and AI vision) enables high-precision quality evaluation.

4. Core Components

Power System:

Fuel engines are produced by the Xiangyang factory, such as 1.6T/1.8T turbocharged engines, with technology derived from the PSA Group. New energy vehicles are equipped with the three-electric system independently developed by Dongfeng Group, with some components cooperating with CATL.

Chassis and Body: Adopts hot-formed steel, ultra-high-strength steel, and laser welding technology, with body torsional stiffness reaching an industry-leading level.
